Cornerstone Management Services (CMS) is an exterior envelope contractor proudly serving and located within the Big Sky community for 20 years that is looking for an operational accountant.
The Operational Accountant role will be responsible for general daily accounting duties for Cornerstone Management Services, Inc.
, Elevated Metal Solutions, LLC, Lone Peak Partners, LLC, and Dreisbach Rentals.
The Operational Accountant reports directly to the Owner, CEO, and CFO.
Role Description:
The accountant role will be responsible for general daily accounting for Cornerstone Management Services, Inc.
, Elevated Metal Solutions, LLC, Lone Peak Partners, LLC, and Dreisbach Rentals.
The accountant is responsible for processing and recording transactions into the accounting system from source documents and systems provided by operational personnel.
Based on this information, the accountant is responsible for providing reports to ownership, operations, board members, analysts and regulatory agencies as required.
The accountant is responsible for the daily transactional accounting including accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll process coordination, subcontractor payments, inventory recording, project accounting, ability to perform credit cards reconciliations, ability to perform bank reconciliations, loan reconciliations, asset review, intercompany transactions, cash management and general inquiries of management.
The accountant is responsible for operational accounting presentation including open invoices reports, invoicing summaries, inventory reports, subcontractor payment summaries, job costs reports, expense reports and other reports as specified by operational personnel.
The accountant is responsible for following internal controls and reporting any non-conforming transactions to the CFO.
The accountant is responsible for assisting operational personnel in using reports within the accounting system to assist in job costing, financial forecasting, budgeting, tax planning and other analysis.
The accountant is responsible for providing operational personnel with a list of accounting requirements needed to perform the accounting role effectively.
This list will include information, forms, dates, format and other requirements needed and will be updated as required.
Requirements:
• A minimum of 2 years construction accounting and project job costing experience
• A Perficient knowledge of Procore (minimum 2-years)
• A minimum of 5-years’ experience working in QuickBooks Online
• Organized and detailed oriented
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially excel
• Ability to adapt to new accounting technologies
• Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
Compensation Structure:
Salary: TBD on experience.
