As part of our growing team, we are seeking a dedicated Driver/Warehouse Worker who will play a key role in ensuring the efficient transportation and management of our materials.
Job Summary: The Driver/Warehouse Worker at Johnson Metal Works is responsible for handling both driving and warehouse duties.
This role involves safely transporting materials to and from designated locations, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring the smooth functioning of our warehouse operations.
A preference will be given to candidates with a CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
Responsibilities: - Safely operate company vehicles to transport materials to and from specified locations.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
- Load and unload materials from the vehicle, ensuring proper handling and securing of the cargo.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues to the supervisor.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries and pickups.
- Assist with warehouse tasks, including receiving, sorting, and organizing materials.
- Ensure inventory accuracy by performing regular counts and reconciliations.
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment.
- Assist in packaging and preparing materials for shipment.
- Collaborate with the warehouse team to fulfill customer orders efficiently.
Qualifications: - High School diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license and a preference for candidates with a CDL (Commercial Driver's License).
- Proven experience as a driver, preferably in a warehouse setting.
- Clean driving record and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong physical stamina, with the ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 100 lbs).
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented and committed to safety.
- Good communication skills and a strong team player.
