Position Summary
Our Public Areas Housekeeping Supervisor position is a full- time, year-round position assisting our Housekeeping Manager in all aspects of operations including Private residence cleaning, laundry, inventory of supplies, scheduling, training, and inspecting of the residence properties.
Work includes working in a cold winter environment at times to get to units for daily service.
This includes off season cleaning projects.
You'll maintain a positive and friendly attitude with all member owners and employees to act as the communicator and liaison between member owners and cleaners.
Some of your responsibilities include:
Anticipate guests’ needs, respond promptly, and acknowledge all guests, however busy and whatever time of day.
Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
Prepare and distribute assignment sheets to assigned staff and review priorities.
Communicate additions or changes to the assignment sheets as they arise throughout the shift.
Inspect homes cleaned by assigned housekeeper, using designated checklist.
Directly contact housekeeper and relay any deficiencies to be corrected.
Update home status after approving cleanliness and condition in accordance with departmental standards.
Keeping an eye on public areas/bathrooms, fitness center, offices, and service areas while in public areas.
Directly contact respective personnel and relay any deficiencies to be corrected.
Report maintenance repairs and submit to Management.
Contact Engineering directly for urgent repairs.
Conduct training of staff as assigned.
Provide feedback on staff performance to manager.
Report disciplinary problems to manager and participate in the conflict resolution with team members.
Making sure you team completes all their daily closing duties.
Complete all paperwork and closing duties before leaving.
Review status of assignments and any follow-up action with manager and/or on-coming supervisor.
What You Bring
Housekeeping supervisory or related supervisory experience, or at least four years of housekeeping experience.
Minimum of two years of housekeeping experience.
Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, requirements, and use of equipment.
Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
Ability to input and access information in the property management system/computers.
Fluency in English both verbal and non-verbal.
Ability to compute mathematical calculations.
Ability to work a flexible schedule: mornings, nights, holidays, and weekends when needed.
GED or High School Diploma is preferred.
Valid Drivers License and clean driving record (parking tickets are acceptable)
Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Ability to maintain confidentiality of member owners and guest information.
